Technical Visit to RED Fire Laboratory in Huizhou - Fire Test for Tunnel

Assembly- 7: 45 am. (Right outside Huanggang Check Point, PRC)
Visit – Until 16:30pm
Transportation: Shuttle Bus will be arranged and will pick up at Huanggang, PRC. It will depart at 8:00am sharp. Late comer will not be entertained. Members therefore are reminded be punctual.

Programme Highlights
Research Engineering Development Facade Consultants Limited (RED) is the ?rst laboratory in Hong Kong dedicated to providing independent quality assurance and testing services for curtain wall and ?re resistance systems as well as ?re proo?ng materials in building construction.  RED is accredited under the Hong Kong Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (HOKLAS) as a ?re and facade testing laboratory since 1997.  The fire laboratory in Huizhou, first in Asia, performs fire tests to RWS curve for tunnel fire.  Fire tests to RWS curve have been developed recently to evaluate fire protection materials for reducing damage of tunnel linings that may jeopardise the structures or buildings above the tunnel.

Free of charge. Lunch will not be provided.

The number of participants is limited to 30 and applications will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis.  The deadline of application is 10 May 2019 noon.  Successful members will be notified by email.
