Programme Highlights
Fire alarm system acts as one of the active fire services installation to detect and alert people through visual and audio appliance with smoke and fire present. Once the fire alarm occurs, the ability of the system to provide indications from fire detector and manual call points during the outbreak of a fire is one of the values to building management officers and fire fighters in response to alarm and is essential to ensure that an “Evacuate” signal in additional alarm zones can be identified.

The performance of cable where exposed to fire, cable confirming to the fire test requirement is one of the key elements of the integrity and reliability of fire alarm circuit.

In order to provide more background information to the standard shows on FSD circular letter 2/2017. The program provides

  • A highlight on recent development in fire resistance cable standards
  • Exempt conditions as required under 2/2017
