About the Seminar
In the coming 20 to 30 years, a significant demographic shift in the population with a greater proportion of the elderly is expected. Sufficient accessible means of escape provisions should be considered in the building design so that everyone can evacuate in case of emergency. Such provisions should also be adequate to cater for future populations with increasing numbers of people with reduced mobility.
This technical webinar will introduce the recent research conducted by the speaker as well as the update of international fire safety standards on accessible means of escape.
