Programme Highlights
Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) has been introduced by Buildings Department through PNAP ADV-36 in December 2017 with guidelines on design and quality control to facilitate the industry. This seminar will focus on system approaches to provide fire safety in MiC buildings. These systems include but not limited to fire protection to structural members in MiC, vertical and horizontal fire separation by means of compartmentation wall and ceiling and common fire stopping system that had been widely adopted in the industry including global hotel groups. Since the modules are fabricated in factories and workshops, some of the offsite inspection and on site integration will be explored so as to achieve the required testing standard and statutory requirements. Some very practical job experience of MiC completed in various countries will also be shared by reputable MiC fabricator in this seminar.
