Programme Highlights
The programme will focus on discussion of the current problems encountered in the fire industry for approval proccess of a fire engineering report submission. There have been continuous seminars and discussion in the past on this topic and we will try to review the updated requriements from authorities and various aspects including the quality of submitted fire engineering reports, unforeseen turnaround time of submissions, long processing time for approval by Authorities, general/common mistakes made in the submitted fire engineering reports, etc. The aim is to alert fire professionals to attend on the quality of fire engineering report submssion and at the same time share views from the jurisdicting authorities on this submission process for the betterment of all stake holder’s interest in future.
Members of The Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA) and Fire Practitioner and officials from the Fire Services Department and Buildings Department will be invited to share their views on the submission of fire engineering approach. Furthermore, views and comments from various professionals will be exchanged during the forum. We will encourage a direct discussion with professionals on the technical and procedural difficulties in preparation and submission of the fire engineering report during this forum.
